What is an Employment Pathway?
An employment pathway is a structured, step-by-step plan that helps you move toward your employment goals at a pace that works for you. It takes into account your strengths, interests, support needs, and NDIS goals to create a clear roadmap for your future.
Your pathway may include
- Skills assessment — Understanding your current strengths and identifying areas to develop.
- Goal setting — Defining what meaningful employment looks like for you.
- Pre-employment training — Building the practical skills needed for the workplace, including communication, time management, and digital literacy.
- Work experience & volunteering — Gaining real-world experience to build your resume and confidence.
- Job readiness coaching — Resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
- Job placement support — Connecting you with employers who value diversity and inclusion.
- Ongoing employment support — Staying connected once you're in a role to ensure long-term success.
